Central Saint Martins从艺术和设计的实践及艺术和设计教育方面继续拓展未来。学院鼓励学生挑战现有准绳，毕业生均为领导及创新者。学院务求学生都能明白自己的潜质为新世纪贡献而铺路。 Central Saint Martins相信其毕业生无论是艺术家或设计师，在我们日常生活架构上扮演一个重要的角色。
学生在学院可进修由基础课程、学士、硕士至博士级课程。课程广泛计有四大主流如艺术、纺织、时装 (包括新闻学) 传播设计 (包括电影、录像及多媒介传播) 及立体设计等。学院亦支持各项研究工作及老师个别研究等。
大部份的学科均有实习及与各公司或专家有联系的机会。学生有机会获派到海外实习，为期三个月。时装荣誉学士之实习需期较长。学院的国际范围因而增长 ， 最新之舞台设计硕士可以容许学生在四个参予之中心如伦敦、布拉格、赫尔辛基或乌特勒克其中两中心就读学生及毕业生历年在国际各大奖上胜出。
一九九六年Alexander McQueen 赢得 Lioyds Bank British Fashion Awards 的英国全年设计师大奖。lan R. Webb赢得时装新闻全年大奖。Clements Ribeiro获得新世纪大奖。除此之外 ， John Galliano，Alexander McQueen 及Stella McCartey获聘用为 Dior,Givenchy及Chloe之首席设计师。Tim Hartley最近获得 Society of West End Theatres Designer of the Year 大奖 。 舞台设计硕士在一九九六年获得英国国家戏剧颁发两项殊荣，J. Hutchison Scott Memorial Award及 Stephen Arlen Memorial Award for innovation，此为英国国家戏剧第一次颁奖给舞台设计。Suesett Richards 鸁得 Student Knitwear Designer of the Year ， Harriet Worsley获得Award for Fashion Marketing at the BHS Graduate Fashion Week，珠宝设计学生获得各项Goldsmith's Craftsmanship and Design Awards 及Motorola 'Art Of Conversation' 国际比赛大奖 。
Emma Shaw 获得 Po-Shing Woo Ceramic Design Fellowship， 前商品设计学生 Nick Crosbie 及Michael Sodeau of inflate 赢得一九九六年100% Design Award，Thornstein Reinth赢得 Channel 4/MOMI Animation Residency Award ,Johannes Karlman及Niki Micchelin获得米兰之Multimedia Premio Award 之银奖 。
